The customer is a Xi’an-based R&D and manufacturing company producing distribution switchgear, instruments, electrical equipment and intelligent power transmission & control gear. Most of their products are large steel enclosures and structural weldments, and surface coating is a critical final process — which means heavy, long workpieces have to be moved repeatedly inside the coating plant.
To improve material handling efficiency and protect freshly painted surfaces, the customer needed a cleaner and more reliable transportation solution. A battery-powered rail transfer cart offered a practical option for moving heavy workpieces along fixed routes without combustion exhaust or trailing power cables.
At the technical exchange meeting, the customer clearly listed the requirements:
– Rated load: 5t;
– Dimensions: Length 4200mm × Width 1500mm × Height 750mm
– Battery power supply: No sliding contact lines or cable reels are accepted;
– Wireless remote control operation: Workers can control from a safe position without having to walk along the vehicle;
– Travel along the fixed track according to the preset path, with high positioning accuracy: The workpiece can be successfully aligned once when entering or exiting the spraying room and drying kiln;
– Fully electric drive, without exhaust gas or open flames.
Based on these requirements, a battery-powered rail transfer cart was selected to support the customer’s fixed-route material handling operations.
