Key Features

Not every loading point sits at the same elevation. A press bed is at 900 mm. A conveyor is at 1400 mm. A shipping dock is at 1100 mm. If your rail cart has a fixed deck, you are calling a crane or a forklift every time the heights do not line up. That is lost time on every trip.

The hydraulic lift deck rail cart solves this by raising and lowering the entire deck under load. Cylinders push the platform from below. The cart arrives, lifts to match the equipment height, and the load transfers — no crane, no fork truck, no waiting. At PERFECT (PaFeiTe), we build lift deck carts from 10 to 100 ton with stroke lengths from 200 mm to 1200 mm. Single or dual cylinder, synchronized to keep the deck level within ±3 mm across the full stroke.

Stroke range: 200–1200 mm standard. More on request. Lift height set by limit switch at any position.
Dual-cylinder synchronization: Two cylinders push opposite corners. A hydraulic manifold balances flow so the deck does not tilt. If one cylinder lags, the system compensates automatically.
Lift speed: 30–60 mm/sec depending on load. Soft start and stop to prevent load shift.
Safety latch: A mechanical latch drops into position at each set height when the cart stops. If hydraulic pressure drops, the deck stays put. Counterbalance valve holds oil in the cylinders as backup.
Deck options: Flat plate, V-frame insert, roller top, or saddle — the lift mechanism sits under the deck, so any deck type can be mounted on top.
Control: Wireless remote standard. Operator positions the cart, lifts to height, confirms alignment, transfers the load. Pendant control optional for close-in work.

Process

Applications

Press shops loading coils from cart to press mandrel — cart lifts to press height, operator slides coil on. Assembly lines where sub-assemblies arrive at different elevations and must index into a fixture. Foundries moving molds between pouring and cooling stations at different floor levels. Warehouses with multi-level mezzanine loading — one cart serves two heights. Anywhere the load must change elevation between pickup and drop-off and a crane is not practical at both ends.

When Selected

Choose a hydraulic lift deck cart when your transfer involves a height difference of more than 300 mm and you do not want to rely on a crane for final positioning. If the height difference is under 300 mm, fixed ramps or dock plates may be cheaper. If you need rotation as well as lift, we build lift + turntable combo decks. If the load is a round coil, add a removable V-frame on top of the lift deck — one cart, two functions.

Running multiple heights? The limit switches are adjustable. Reprogram the set points and the same cart serves three different elevations on different shifts.

FAQ

Q: What happens if hydraulic pressure drops while the deck is raised?

A: Two independent systems: a counterbalance valve locks oil in the cylinder, and a mechanical latch engages at set height. The deck cannot drop. Cart stops, alarm sounds on the remote.

Q: Can the cart lift and travel at the same time?

A: No. Lift only operates when the cart is stationary. Interlock prevents travel with deck raised above 200 mm. This is a safety requirement, not a limitation.

Q: How long does it take to lift a full load?

A: At 50 ton with 600 mm stroke, full lift takes about 20 seconds. At 10 ton, about 10 seconds. Speed is load-proportional — heavier load lifts slightly slower.

Q: Can I add a V-frame or roller top on the lift deck?

A: Yes. The lift mechanism is under the deck. Anything that bolts to a flat deck bolts to a lift deck. We have built lift decks with V-frames for coil-to-press lines and roller tops for mold indexing.

Q: What maintenance does the hydraulic system need?

A: Oil check every 6 months. Cylinder seal inspection annually. We use standard hydraulic components — no proprietary parts, local service available anywhere.

Q: Can the cart run outdoors?

A: Yes, with IP54 or IP65 hydraulic unit enclosure. Cylinders get wiper seals as standard. For foundry or washdown environments, we upgrade to stainless rods and heat-shielded manifolds.
